Frequently Asked Questions Q: When will the VZ iPhone be available? A: Preorders start on February 3rd; release date is February 10th. Q: Is it the iPhone 5? Is there a new design? A: This is not the iPhone 5, it is a iPhone 4 with an antenna redesign that was leaked a few days ago. Q: Does it support 4G? A: 3g and CDMA only. Q: Will it have backwards compatibility with AT&T/GSM? A: No. It is CDMA iPhone. Q: Will their be a white one? A: The official word from Apple is 'spring.' That is the same timeframe they have been giving for a while. A white iPhone 4 won't be exclusive to Verizon. Q: Will it support tethering? Will it cost extra? A: Yes, it will support tethering and even mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices. Pricing hasn't been announced, but Mobile Hotspot has been said to be included. Q: Mobile Hotspot? A: I'm assuming Mobile Hotspot is basically MiFi built in to your iPhone. For those who aren't familiar with MiFi, it is basically a on-the go wifi network that uses a cellular connection to access the internet. Q: What iOS version does will it run? A: Although it hasn't been officially announced, the test models included iOS 4.2.5. They could possibly ship with iOS 4.3. Q: Is iTunes required? A: Yes. Q: Will the current iPhone 4 cases work with the VZ iPhone? A: No. The volume buttons and the mute switch have been moved slightly. Q: Can it be jailbroken? A: Yes, GreenPois0n does/will support it. Q: Can it be unlocked to work on another CDMA network like Sprint? A: Because of the way CDMA works, no. http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/971229 Links Release Page Official Verizon Frequently Asked Questions

Interesting, I wonder if apple have separated the radios and made the left hand side (with the vibrate button etc) a neutral point. I don't really know of any times when my hand would touch both the top and bottom strips so it should stop it from disrupting the signal. That said, I bought my iPhone very shortly after launch and it's never been an issue for me... Just a load of blogs blowing hot air.
This video basically shows all of the design changes and how to activate the WiFi hotspot in settings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6QdFZtTYs8 Other than the changes shown in the video, there is no band along the top, either. How does the Mobile Hotspot work? Is it like MiFi? So then, is it possible for adhoc connectivity between VerizoniPhones?
Would the incipio feather fit in iphone cause it just has one large cut out for the volume buttons and mute switch
