okay, well I have verbose boot, and I don't want it anymore, so can I still flash the NOR through DFU restore? or do I have to do a full restore, then rejailbreak?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have heard that when you do a NOR flash the ipod reboots halfway through if you have verbose boot

Yeah, using recovery mode, where it says connect to iTunes...I know that, but I was wondering if you could just use DFU mode? Do you know?

I NOR flashed my iPod with a verbose iBoot in a .ispw and everything's worked great! Even has a fast boot up! I'm happy.

I HAVE verbose boot, but I want to get rid of it...And I used DHowetts or whatever, therefore my recovery mode is broken, and need to know if I can DFU restore....

    dude
I wanted to get rid of verbose mode, and when I tried a NOR only firmware, as blackbelt said, it boots midway thru the restore
then, if you turn your ipod off, and turn it on, and it boots in recovery mode
so you'll have to rejailbreak to get rid of it
    it sucks, I know

You could have use redTool to restore.
I had a Verbose boot on mine, and it restored fine.

I tried, it gave me an error, when I tried to just NOR restore, and I wasn't going to deal with that, so I just did a full restore and what not.
