    I tried getting my iPod do boot using the Verbose patch, but when I restored, it didn't work. I extracted the IPSW, and placed the patch in, but when I SHIFT+Click Restore, do I restore to the folder version of the IPSW? Or do I drag the extracted folder with the patch back into the IPSW? Also, How can I go back to a normal logo if I don't want Verbose anymore?

    You must enter recovery mode by a different method, so get your hands on a 2.1.1 version of ibss, redsn0w patch commands, and irecovery, then put your iPod in DFU mode.
    Open command prompt, cd to that directory and type;
    irecovery -f ibss211.dfu

    then irecovery -s
    and copy over the redsn0w commands,

    then open iTunes and restore.

    So holding the home button while plugging in doesn't work?

    Nope, verbose mode disables recovery mode, therefore you have to use my instructions.

    OK, I got the iPod in recovery mode.

    Also, when I drag the Verbose patch to the correct folder in the IPSW (I can't remember the folder name, it's long with numbers and letters). It says it has copied it, but the new patch appears outside of the folder that it is supposedly supposed to be in (I think). Is it supposed to do this?

    One more thing, how can I go back to a normal boot screen if I don't want the Verbose boot anymore?

    I added Verbose into my pwned.IPSW and made a full restore including my backups. All done in less than an hour. Perhaps you should try this rather than troubleshooting
