I didnt know where to put this thread but I'm assuming this is the right place... But anyways a good communication app would be ventrilo, and teamspeak...good way to keep in touch with your buddies and even gaming buddies...since most ppl use these apps, plus iknow yesterday I had a problem with my computer and had no way to contact a guildmember other than through vent but I was having hardware failure so my guild couldnt raid that night... So yeah a bit of a story for a good use we'd get out this app

I use Vent all the time and this would be a handy app to have! I could beta it if needed, but I don't really have a lot to offer as far as developing it goes (my skills are slightly limited lol).

I use teamspeak quite a bit more then vent... so i'm gonna cast my vote for teamspeak.

also, if it is at all possible, a mumble client would be awesome

I have no use for SiP VoiP, but if Vent pas ported, I'd definatly buy a Touchmods mic. =O

Sadly, neither Vent nor Teamspeak are open source. Maybe someone could reverse engineer the protocols, and create a simple client that interfaces with an official server, has been done with Myspace IM to work with GAIM/Pidgin, but that was just text, Ventrilo would be harder to do. Mumble could work, its an open source VoIP program like Vent or Teamspeak. If any of these was ported I would DEFINATELY buy a mic, as of now SiP VoIP is of no use to me.
