I saw this today. I thought it was a very well done film, and very historically accurate.

    Any other opinions?

    I wanted to see it,

Wasn't there an assassination attempt, well at least a rumor that the nazis rigged ******'s chair to blow up, but failed because a janitor sat in his seat and triggered the explosives?

We were fighting about it at school.

The movie stated that there were at least 15 documented attempts on ******'s life.

Your story wouldn't surprise me... I think that kernel schnouffenburg (I honestly don't know enough German to spell it correctly) was a guy with some serious balls. He did what he did for his country. I think he is the real definition of a patriot.

    It was pretty good.

This might sound weird, but it would have been better if it wasn't a true story.

They could have made it more interesting/dramatic/etc if they didnt have to base it off of historical events.

    Ya know?

It wouldn't have felt as real if it weren't historically accurate. People wouldn't have left the theater thinking that what they saw really happened.

In the theater I saw the film, when the movie was over, it was almost dead silent. People actually respected the men who died for their cause. That is the most important thing in my opinion.

And don't you guys think that the guy playing ****** did a fantastic job? He looked so much like him! (Not that I like ****** or anything)

Same here! NO ONE talked/clapped/etc in the movie theater after it was over.

And yeah, the guy that played ****** did an AMAZING job.

Same here, it was sort of silent when it ended and the credits rolled up. Good movie, Tom Cruise did a good job. I saw Tropic Thunder for the first time today, was surprised to see Tom Cruise in it. It was a big step from Valkyrie to this.

I liked it, it was put together very well
They didnt skimp out on facts to make it more appealing to a wider audience
I went with some friends to see it and everyone was completely silent walking out at the end.
    It was cool though .
