I use am new to MAC OS (version 10) and am trying to do the following:

accessing internet on iPhone using my laptop internet connection (which is through cable). Anyone know where I can find a good tutorial?

I've googled for ones but none seem to work.

Enable internet sharing on your mac in system preferences. you will create a small wifi network that your iPod can connect to.

No such luck, will it matter that I'm behind a university's proxy. I'm totally new to MAC as well so a tutorial with screenshots would be the bomb if there any that you know of.

    Any other advice?

    Thanks for help though.
