Is there a way to use my iPod touch (jailbroken) as a bluetooth headset for my phone?
I had a mp3 player (Samsung T10) that had this function.

Also, do microphones that connect to the dock connector work with normal apps like Skype, Fring or Voice memo?

    It would need a microphone.

    Well, that's obvious.
I could use a microphone that connects to the dock connector or headphones with microphone.

AFAIK, currently no jailbreak app has been developed to do this. Why would you want to do that anyway? My old Samsung P2 did this, but I never used it...its much easier to pick up your phone. It's a waste of battery IMO.

And yes, the microphones should work with the mentioned apps. But you should get confirmation from someone who has actually used them.

    Well, it depends.
You're listening to music and your phone rings.
I think it's better answering on the ipod than stopping music, picking up the phone and answering.

Will that not be a bit heavy hanging from your ear?
