I realized a big part of getting and ipod 4 would be for photography and stills. And the iPhone 4 can take really good pictures.

Could I buy an iPhone 4 without a sim and just use it as an ipod?

Yes, you can buy one on eBay, but it's much more expensive.

In Canada you can get an iPhone 4 without contract, unlocked.

    C'mon up!

Visit apple.ca, I believe it's $659 plus tax (varies by province, Ontario is 13%)
