Uses for Piezo speaker.

    OK, we know the speaker in an iPod is very basic, but it does have a bit more capability than the basic key click. Test the Alarm sounds out to hear for yourself.

    It would be nice to use this speaker for:

    Game sounds in the NES&GBA emulators/iPhysics/etc
    Keyboard sounds in most apps, particularly the calculators

    Any other suggestions?

    Can it play music? Is there a hack to do that?

    ugh, NO the internal speaker will NEVER play music, its too simple a speaker for that

    however, i could see it possibly doing very simple sound effects for nes mayb but not even game backround music

    Im just confused why none of the apps i run currently ever does anything with the piezo.... no sounds at all ... i want to hear my ipot click to me

    Best use of the speakers would have to be playing a sound for every message received while chatting.
