I've searched through my jailbroken 1.1.2 iTouch but I can't find where I'd set a username or password so I can put files directly onto it.

    How do I do this?

please search next time. the hostname is your ipods ip addres. this can be found in the wifi section of the settings app. the username is root and the pasword is alpine.

Thanks for the info but I did search. Never saw that root/alpine information.

I get a connection failed error with that user/pass though. Thoughts?

Just to make sure, does it say connection failed or connection refused?

No sir. I remember seeing something about installing ssh during the jailbreaking process but didn't think much about it. Can I install ssh after the process is complete?

I see I can install OpenSSH in the installer but it says I need the BSD Subsystem installed first, which I also see in the installer. It's safe to just install these one after the other?

Host validation failed. Make sure user/pass are correct yadda yadda yadda
