Hold the home and power button until it turns off.

2 seconds after it tuns off, let go of the power and keep holding the home button.

    Hold it for 25 seconds.

    iTunes should pop up, restore.

Forget 1.1.5. Download WinPWN and get 2.0.

wow this is one of my favorite quotes ever!
    lol download PWNAGE 2.0.0.2
but u need to have 1.1.4/2.0/2.0.1 on ur computer
go with 2.0.1 since its the best at the moment
    load it with pwnage
    use the ipsw builder
check all the boxes and click build ipsw
    now wait.........
once its done closed the finished window
click the IPWNER button or whatever its called locate ur Custom FW
and click ok, now open itunes click on ur ipod Hold shift and click restore.
find ur custom FW and wait for it to restore

same sort of thing happened to me. my ipod kept freezing and that weird white text appeared... to restore to regular 1.1.5 (not jailbroken), i force restored...

    1. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
    2. Hold down the “Home” button.
    3. Keeping “home” held, hold the “sleep/wake” button.
    4. Keep both held in until the apple logo shows
    5. As soon as the apple logo shows release the “sleep/wake” button.
    6. Keep the “Home” button held in until the iTunes logo and a picture of the USB lead is shown.
    7. Now release the “Home button and follow the instructions within iTunes.

i eventually downgraded to 1.1.4 and jailbroke with iLiberty... no problems at all so far. i recommend you do the same...
