Ok, Ive seen the dock threads around here and i have a great idea. But im wondering how much will usb take,as far as pulling power from it, Like if i use the usb's power that goes to the ipod for some lights, will the lights in the dock and the ipod work?
    Thanks,

Ok im wanting to make a ipod dock.
But i want some low powered leds.
I would like you use the usb going to the ipod for power to the leds.
will it work? or how many can i use on it?

It is quite clear that he's looking to power a set of LEDs from the power rail from the USB input.

@OP You ned to find a way to connect the LEDs with some form of voltage regulator, to make sure the iPod is powered properly. I have extremely limited knowledge of electronics, so that's as much as I know.
