    Hi Everyone,

I am totally new here so hope I am doing this correctly.

Very recently a couple of times when powering the iPod Touch on I will get just a USB icon and an arrow pointing to a iTunes icon.

I have searched and found a couple of comments regarding this but have found no real explanation.

Guess I have two questions, first what causes this and second, is there any way to clear it when I do not have my iMac handy? The couple of times it has happened I have plugged my iPod Touch into the iMac and everything returns to normal.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers!

That means that it's in Recovery Mode I believe.
But it shouldn't be showing that while you're charging it.

When it's charging? You might want to restore your iPod, then see if it's still there. It shouldn't be there regularly.

    Hello,

Sorry, guess I did not explain clearly.

Nope, it is not charging when this happens. (possibly just after charging but now do not recall) It just happens when I power the iPod up to use it. It has happened now twice.

That's not supposed to happen. Try JB'ing with a different tutorial.

I did a quick search after my post and I now know what jailbreaking means but I do not understand what that has to do with my problem as I am not using an iPhone.

You don't need an iPhone to jailbreak.
    Obviously, yours is not jailbroken.
That guy just assumed it was.
Do you know what happens when you assume?
You make a butt out of u and me.
