The method that was told in the "Windows user warning" does not work. I am getting the error message and don't even hear any iTunes unplugged sounds.
    Any help?
    -cry-
I can't even turn the iPod on.

Your ipod still might be in DFU mode, try holding down the power and home button for 10 seconds, until it boots back up.

I seem to have run into the same issue as well... LibUSB's test program isn't showing it either, so perhaps it's an issue with that?

Restarting doesn't appear to do anything... maybe I followed the steps BEFORE there was a typo fixed in the instructions, and now maybe it's hanging everytime it tries to boot because of that...?

Unfortunately, such a process has not worked for me... I am still getting a black screen on my iPod, and plugging it in still yields a message informing me the "USB Device [is] Not Recognized." I have attempted every solution presented to no avail......
