Hello, i have brought an ipad (Wifi) in the US and i aim to use it in the uk. Will it work via an adaptor plug. Also will it function normally if i use it in the UK such as when downloading apps.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Should do. Just make sure you have an adaptor so you can charge your iPad up and you should be fine. It will function correctly too, as long as you're connected to wifi.

Ok thanks, are you sure there wont be a problem with the different voltages?

You should be charging your iPad up using the supplied charger cable (it's a standard iPad/iPhone/iPod cable) which connects to your iPad to a USB connector. This then either is charged up using an adaptor for your US wall socket or plugged into your computer's USB port.

All you need is a USB to power adaptor for the UK power socket. I'm pretty sure Apple will sell them, but if not then it shouldn't be too difficult to find a USB to UK power socket adaptor. If you want definite reassurance, you can buy Apple's World Travel Adaptor Kit, although you can probably find cheaper if you look around.

I've got a US charging plug. I've got a wall socket plug for usbs and also an adaptor for converting US plug into a UK socket. Would these suffice?

I can't say 100% for certain since I've not tried it, but I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. I can't be held responsible for something going wrong though :p

The charger that comes with the iPad is designed to work on any mains voltage from 100V to 240V. The only challenge you have is to find an adapter to convert US flat blades to the UK style. As I remember from my years in Malawi these adapters are common and inexpensive. I think any DIY store can help you out.
