my ipod is 2.2.1 i think and it is jailbroken.
so what i did was i deleted all of my files by going to settings>general>reset>delete all.. and it took the ipod about 2 hrs to do it( the deleting)... after that i try to turn my ipod on, the apple logo shows... after about 8 hrs its still at the apple logo so i figure that their is a problem. i dont know what to do

if you deleted everything then the ipod is reset, like when you just got it out of the box, plug it into your computer and then open itunes, follow the on screen directions from then

Yea, just plug it into iTunes, see if it recognises it. If it does, and provides instructions, follow those. UNLESS IT TALKS ABOUT UPGRADING! Just have some common sense
