my ipod was working normally untill i connected it to itunes a few hours ago!
i connected and clicked for updates..as soon as i did that..this sign came up
''iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes''
so i clicked restore then this error 1603 came up...

    in this thing..
i pressed sleep/wake button and the home mode at same time..but it keeps appearing with this connect to itunes sign....when i do eventually get to restore.....it does this ipod turney onny thing with the little timing symbol underneath before the error comes on....this then stays for hours and nothing happens!
if you guys could help me i would be soooooooooooooooooooooo grateful!!!!!

DFU isn't just with iLiberty... you can enter it manually.

Turn your iPod off, while it's connected.

After 5 seconds of it being off, hold the sleep/wake button and home button, and count to 10.

At ten, let go of the sleep/wake button, and continue holding the home button.

Have your computer speakers turned up and listen for the device connected sound.

This should work, and after, if it gives an error with restoring normally, try with 1.1.1.
