Ugh... I just unlocked my iPod and the backlight wouldnt go on. So I locked in and unlocked it again and then it worked.

I just unlocked it again and now its like its permanantly broken.
I tried respringing/restarting and its still the same

    Ive:
    - Checked SBSettings
    - Checked WinterBoard
    - Unchecked "Auto-Adjust" in Settings

    f*** me.
I really dont want to have to DFU Restore this.

EDIT: It seems to be having a mind of its own. One minute its working, one minute its not.

Hold down the home and power button. And then turn it on again,

Sounds like a hardware thing. Restore it and send it to Apple (assuming it's under warranty?).

    Nope, warranty is up.
I'm backing up now to do a DFU Restore and if that fixes it, then I'll rejailbreak, etc.
If it doesnt fix it, then I'm leaving it restored and am going to Best Buy to see if they'll just slip me a new one.

    EDIT: Just DFU Restored, nothing.

Yea sorry it's a hardware issue. I guess you could take it to an Apple store or something and see if they could repair it for some $$$.

Before you take it to an Apple store try DFU restoring but don't restore from backup.

You: Hey Best Buy employee, will you slip me a new one for this slightly used 2g with a void warranty?

    Best Buy employee: Security!

You: Oh I thought that's how the world worked, duuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
