Upgrading Vista

    I am on Vista Home Premium 32bit, if I want to upgrade to 64bit what do I need to do. And will I lost my files on my hard drive?

    Well, 64-bit is an entire new OS (in regards on how it works), so you have to re-buy the OS.

    Back everything up.

    So you are saying that It would wipe the whole hard drive?

    Yeah, its just like installing any other OS on a hard drive, it will wipe it.

    You can get a Installation disk of Vista 64bit for like 12 dollars from micrsoft. You can use it with your installation key.

    Yes, you would need to do a clean install.

    im not sure if that would work, But you would just be buying the OEM disk. They would not send you a new Product Key.
