    Title...

I'm on 2.2.1 and lets say 3.0 official release drops tomorrow. If I upgrade will I lose everything? How do I keep everything IF I would?

    Thanks!

If you are on a stock firmware just hit update and you will keep everything. If you are jailbroken you need to backup what you can because it will all be gone

you will lose everything that deals with the jailbreak, there is a program that makes a list of all your cydia apps and redownloads them for you, it takes a god awful amount of time though, it's called aptbackup

How would I do a backup?

EDIT: Oh ok so would you recommend I get it? And how do I back up my songs on my iPod? I don't have them on the PC.

Aptbackup? It's easier to just make a list of your cydia apps and download them again yourself

I kinda add them then deleted them off my PC. :/

EDIT: I don't have that much anyway, I just wanted to know if I could do a backup.
