If you're on 3.1, why do you need 3.1.2?

    There isn't much difference

If you do decide to click update, you will have to backup your jailbreak data.

    BALLS!

I've just let poxy iTunes update (what I thought was just the iTunes s/w) and off it goes and 'upgrades' my iTouch to v3.1.2

    The result of which was?

Goodbye Jailbreak, cydia and removed ALL non-Apple warez. No more SBSetting - gone. Back to being next to useless now.

i am putting up a video tutorial on this now- it wil be up on http://youtube.com/effectsdude79 in a bit. basiclly, download aptbackup from cydia, make a backup in the app, plug your device in, make a back up in itunes, then update. when you have updated and rejaibroken, restore your ipod from the itunes backup. then redownload apbackup from cydia and hit restore. it will take around 15 mins to restore your apps.
