    Okay, I have a few questions;

    1. Can I upgrade to 3.0 from my jailbroken ipod touch?

    2. Will there be any trace it's been jailbroken if I sent it to apple if it gets damaged?

    3. Do I need to update to the new iTunes?

    4. If I do need to update, will my iPod still work with it? Because I've heard it changes the way iTunes communicates with the iPod.

    Thank you in advance for you're help, and I hope other with my questions find this thread useful as well

    1. Yes, but you will need to wipe it and start again
    2. Not if you restore it, very rarely do people get problems severe enough that iPods need to be sent off when jailbreaking
    3. Yes

    What do you mean by wipe it?

    Can I just download the firmware and restore to it in iTunes?

    If you mean download illegally, no. Download it using iTunes, this guide is pretty good

    Here is what i did when upgrading from 2.2.1 JB to 3.0 JB

    First, i completely wiped it by hitting restore. So it was back to a 2.2.1 boring apple stlye ipod. This ensured that there was nothing hidden left over.

    second, i upgraded to 3.0 from itunes (made me download the 3.0 firmware several times for some reason.)

    Third, once my ipod was up and running in 3.0 i went ahead and followed the awesome thread for jailbreaking on 3.0.

    fourth, BAM all done simple as pie. a fully JB Ipod 3.0. so far i haven't noticed a difference between the two OS besides the search function and the bluetooth, but hey i like having the latest and greatest.

    Though if anyone knows how to change the boot logo i would greatly appreciate it, PM me. I really miss my pineapple. (thought it was extremely clever, PineAPPLE? seriously awesome)
