    Hi,

I recently upgraded my Touch to 1.1.5 from 1.1.4 (stupid move before logging on here) and apparently all the icons were erased. Granted, Customize and Summerboard don't work, but i had a ton of applications installed prior to the upgrade (eg Sketch, Games, Installer, etc..).

    1. Even if I downgrade to 1.1.4, will my old applications still be present (doubt so but oh well)

    2. If I downgrade to 1.1.4, will the installer application be available? Or do I have to go through the whole jailbreak process again?

Thanks people, help is very much appreciated.

    1. Regardless of whether you are upgrading or downgrading, the file that you use to restore your iPod to a particular firmware that you want is the factory default one provided by Apple.Inc. You must understand that the file stays the same no matter if you jailbreak because iTunes is simply copying the firmware to your iPod, the original file is left intact and untouched regardless of whether if you jailbreak or do whatsoever to your iPod. There isn't a psychic link between the firmware that's in your iPod and the one saved in your computer! So all your stuff will be gone and its back to the good old factory default again!

    2. If all the stuff are restored back to factory default, then you'll have to jailbreak it again. But come on, its not that hard, just a click of a button.

Consider upgrading an iTunes restore to a higher version.

even if you were going from 1.1.4 to 1.1.4 just doing a restore, it would erase everything
