Do I just put the iPod into recovery mode and put the custom firmware on it? Should I go to 2.0.2 normal firmware first?

I want to use WinPwn. I already have the custom 2.0.2 firmware ready.

well, then just update to 2.0.2 official just to make sure everything is good and then restore again with 2.0.2.

Ok, I tried updating, and I got an error. Now the iPod is in recovery mode because of it.

What do I do from here?

Ok, I got it. DFU'd 2.0.2 on, then rejailbroke with WinPwn. Worked flawlessly, as usual.

That's illegal, and not allowed here. Tell them no to be paranoic, Apple won't steal from them
