Is it possible to upgrade from firmware 2.2.1 to firmware 3.1.2 without losing any of my files (musics, videos, photos, etc) I dont really care about my applications, but my musics aren't on my harddrive anymore and i dont feel like downloading them over and over again? Oh and btw, if i already have a jailbroken ipod touch (2.2.1), can i just restore to 3.1.2 firmware then rejailbreak it again?

    thanks

    shift+restore with a 3.1.2 .ipsw file

ssh into the music, videos, and photo folders and move them to ur computer.

use TuneAid to transfer your music to your comp. 14 day trial.

Aren't all your music and videos encrypted in the file system? So sshing them out would take awhile for you to organize them? Anyways I recommend just using sharepod, it's completely free.
