What's so great about the Touch? What apps do you recommend? Go nuts, can't wait to read your feedback.

Im Going to act like you've never seen or used iPod touch.

Apps: - iPod touch has an App Store, which opens you to a whole new world of possibilities. You have games, which range from simple to entertaining to hardcore. Some are Archetype, Call of Duty: Zombies, Grand Theft Auto, Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump. it even has MMOs, the most notable one being Eliminate Pro.

There are several utilites and tools on the the App Store as well, such as a Swype based keyboard [ShapeWriter], TrackPad apps that allow you to use your iPod as a trackpad for your PC or Mac [RemoteTap, Logitech touch Mouse]. We have classics [PAC MAN, Galaga, Sonic the Hedgehog], Emulators [Commodore 64], Basically anything you could imagine. Here is the list of categories in the mobile App store.

    • Games
    • Entertainment
    • Utilities
    • Social Newtorking
    • Music
    • Productivity
    • Lifestyle
    • Reference
    • Travel
    • Sports
    • Navigation
    • Healthcare & Fitness
    • News
    • Photography
    • Fianance
    • Books
    • Business
    • Weather
    • Medical

And thats just part of the experience.

Specifically, with the 4G, you have a front and rear camera, the rear camera is capable of HD Video recording. The front camera can be used for video chat, Notably FaceTime.

The 4G iPod touch also has a Retina display, which is twice the resolution of the previous models and is capable of displaying up to 720p.

One more 4G specific thing is the Gyroscope, which gives you much more motion based input than just the accelerometer.

Thanks for the reply, you should be selling these things. What apps do you use the most / can't do without? I saw the thread that a lot of people believe in jailbreaking, does that really make that much of a difference with all the available apps regularly through Apple?

Facebook is one of the best apps IMO.

AppStore apps don't allow you to modify the system, when you jailbreak your device (you will still have to wait for a jailbreak for the iPod Touch 4 though), you can do this.
