I had just received the ipod 3G not more than 2 months ago as a graduation gift, so it is still fairly new. Will I be able to trade it in or something and get anything back for it or use it toward the new ipod if I wanted to upgrade? I dont know if it helps but they also got a geek squad black tie protection plan.
    i have a 32GB currently.

hey i have almost the same question but no answer. i think the only way is to sell on ebay or a site like that because a store wouldnt let you upgrade and save money.
Try this: call best buy and say you broke your ipod and you have the protection plan and ask if you can return your "broken" ipt for a ipt4 & if so do you need to pay an upgrade price. if so break your ipod and give it to them for an upgrade but make 100% sure thatthey will take it back

Sell it for around $200 on Kijiji. That's what I did.

You need to know where they bought it.

I just sold mine on eBay for $200, going for the 8GB 4th Generation. Normally I'm not worried about space, but with new HD video recording, I hope I can still manage my space efficiently.
