When V3 of the iPhone Firmware is officially jailbroken (full version, not betas), I will be upgrading. The one question I do have through, is whether or not all my settings and installed apps/tweaks etc. will be retained.

Obviously I will need to upgrade to the regular version and then jailbreak again. Does this mean that I will need to unjailbreak first, update and then jailbreak again?

Since I have only had my Touch and Phone since the latest version of firmware, I have never had to go through the process of a new version upgrade (with jailbreak).

    Many thanks,

When you go to the 3.0 your jailbreak will be gone automatically.

Everything will be gone, and you may have to wait a while for things to be ported to the 3.0 software.

I understand that when I upgrade to 3.0 that the jailbreak will be gone (which is why I will be waiting for the jailbreak to be released).

Once I upgrade and jailbreak 3.0, does this mean that I will have to download and reinstall all my Cydia apps again or will they be retained?

    Thank you
