Hello, would it be best to jailbreak at 2.2.1, or upgrade to 3.1.2?

I read that if I use Itunes to upgrade to 3.1.3 and jailbreak it later, it'll be tethered? Is that true?

I have an Ipod Touch 2g MB. I was thinking of using felixbruns to download 3.1.2 for free.

It seems that if I BUY an upgrade from Itunes, it only does 3.1.3 ugprades? I don't think it lets you upgrade to a lower 3.x. Correct?

    Thanks!

    1 restore to fw 3.1.2 (sh*t+restore)

2 tethered jailbreak has nothing to do with the software is more of a hardware security

3 MB ipods are fine! it will be untethered

Restore your ipod to fw 3.1.2 and then jailbreak with either blackra1n or redsn0w

5 correct itunes only upgrades to the lates fw, so you will have to get it elsewhere BUT DONT mention it here it is not allowed
