Upgrading after jailbreaking help

    hi i just did the jailbreak on an ipod touch 1st gen everything is working fine now how can i install the update without messing up my jailbreak.
    At first i had firmware 2.2.1 and i couldn't jailbreak so i downgraded to 2.2 to jailbreak how can i update please help me

    at first i tried doing it with 2.2.1 on it better didn't work so i downgraded to 2.2 did the jailbreak now can someone help me on the upgrade please

    You update to 2.2.1 and you will lose your jailbreak?

    Why couldn't you jailbreak on 2.2.1?

    on the 2nd gen it lets me do it without a problem but not in my 1st gen help

    Are you using the right firmware? The ipod touch 2g and 1g each have different firmware files.

    it downloaded the 2.2.1 on it's own from itunes so i guess its the right one i was useing quickfreedom to jailbreak i heard it's hard to jailbreak 2.2.1 on a 1st gen ipod touch any info would help alot
