    Hello

I'm planning on upgrading to iOS4 and my friend said that I won't lose my apps and settings. But he couldn't be sure because my iPod is jailbroken. Do I need to restore?

Sorry, but this forum is so large that I couldn't find any relevant thread about this. I still hope someone is kind enough to answer.

yes you will loose EVERY SINGLE THING even bought apps unlike 3.x os wich you could install cracked apps(off-topic) and update and still have them without jailbreak

but... itunes 9.2 will make a backup before the update and then restore it i was so exited i coulnt wait for the backup but 4.0 didnt work out for me so i downgraded to 3.1.2 (if you are intrested on downgrading from os4 pm me no shsh required)

Yea, you will lose everything. Unless you back up.
