    Hi all.

Before someone jumps on the new boy I have searched the forum (but that doesn't mean I didn't miss something!) and have Googled meself to death!

I upgraded to 1.1.4 and used the lates Ziphone to jailbreak my pod.

Everything went like a dream except I cannot connect to the iPod using SSh / WinSCP / HTTP (using iSpit), cannot even ping the ipod using the IP address in settings.

Strange thing is, when I try to use Terminal on the Ipod, when it starts up it asks for a user name and password so I try the default root / alpine one and its says invalid.

Any advice appreciated before hair ripping out commences!

    Cheers
    Ry

Try to reset your router and then try and connect to winscp again.

Tried that - only because the router I have did something along the same lines a few weeks back!
    Thanks for the response though

Saying that I can't even use Terminal on the ipod as the usual username/password keeps getting rejected as well!

Everyone keeps mentioning the entry of the user name and password but I have only ever had to enter the password. I wonder why that is?

Do you have SUID Lib FIX, BSD Subsystem, BSD Subsystem 2.0 term Fix installed?

    It does.

Strange thing is, SSH etc was working fine before I did a full restore via iTunes and upgrade to 1.1.4 followed by the Ziphone jailbreak.

Im pretty sure that ZiPhone already downloads OpenSSH while you jalibreak it.. check in the uninstall part on installer.app
