Okay so I was thinking about upgrading to 2.2 and jailbreaking. But it can be a pain in the ass when you have tons of applications, themes, settings saved, etc..

So I don't want to go through this just for nothing, so I have some questions:

1- Is upgrading to 2.2 worth it? I've heard that it fixes performance in Safari and such, but does it fix Beejive's lagging? Yes, Beejive lags on me I have 400+ contacts..
2- Does it have bugs/incompatibility with apps?
    3- Does battery life improve?
4- What cool features does it have? Street view? Naah..
5- Can I backup Beejive? Like where are the saved chats stored so I can restore them back after jailbreaking using SSH or such..

    Thanks in advance,
    Xandu.

    1. It should have a fix for Beejive, but maybe thats since the 1G's processor can't handle it
    2. When it came out, there was a sound bug with aSleep, White Noise, etc... but they got fixed like a day later
    3. Not much of an improvement (if any)
    4. Streetview needs a hack, so does Emoji
    5. You can alway backup Beejive, the iTunes backs up your ipod its backing up all your settings
