upgrade to 1.1.2?

    is there any reason at all to upgrade and re jailbreak for 1.1.2 other than the calendar fix cause this can be fixed with an app in the installer.

    Yep, it has 412 MHz instead of 400 MHz, so it's slightly faster and not quite as buggy.

    Try searching next time as this has been asked & answered many times.

    In short:
    - Processor speed bumped from 400MHz to 412MHz
    - Bus bumped from 100MHz to 103MHz
    - TIFF exploit closed
    - Calendar fix
    - Battery indicator in iTunes
    - Bug & performance fixes

    ive been searching since i joined the forum.

    how does software speed up a processor? maybe its capped and they raise it when they release an update so people will get it?

    It is capped. I'm pretty sure that's the only way.

    the same way as you can overclock the CPU of your computer with your bios settings. it has nothing to do with being really capped, it's just that the cpu speed is obviously software controlled in some way ^^ seems like they found a way to get a little more out of it.

    ah right forgot about that. i bet you could see something about it if you could read the verbose boot up text that flies by

    You could try it out and if you don't like it - downgrade to 1.1.1 firmware.
