I have a iPod touch 3g on 3.1.3 jailbroken and I really want to go to 4.0. I have my SHSH backed up on my PC and on Cydia so if I wanted to, I could downgrade. But the main question is, is 4.0 worth it over 3.1.3 jailbroken?
    (specifically on a ipt3?)
    Thanks

Is there anything you really really want that you can't get on a non-jailbroken 4.0??

I guess so... I mean, I have an 2nd Gen. 8GB MC Model iPod Touch running on firmware 3.1.3 and jailbroken with Spirit. Since mine is an MC model, I can't jailbreak just yet, so until then I'm gonna stay on firmware 3.1.3. When I can jailbreak it, I'm gonna upgrade to iOS4. But you really don't have to because by jailbreaking on firmware 3.1.3, you can get just about every single feature that is on iOS4. It's really your decision. As long as you have your SHSH blobs saved, you could upgrade, jailbreak, and try it out. If you don't like it, then just downgrade to firmware 3.1.3 and rejailbreak with Spirit. Just make sure you back up your stuff first with iTunes and PKG Backup for your Cydia packages.

I upgraded and haven't looked back. If you need to you can always go back. If you can't give up any of your jailbreak tweaks and stuff then stay. But it looks you did anyways, not much choice. How do you like it?

I'm restoring now, luckly everything was backed up. I'll post how I like it once it's done.

Enjoy. I tried OS4 and ended up going back to 3.1.2.

I missed the jailbreak goodies too much....OS4 jailbreak was buggy, imo.

Just upgraded. Wish there was a way to jailbreak, but oh well. I actually like it, it seems faster.
