    Hi all,

I have a 2nd gen iPod touch which came with the 3.1.2 firmware. I left it clean, and then upgrade it firstly to 3.1.3 and then to 4.0(always clean). After realizing that being in 4.0 my device was too slow, I decided to downgrade it to 3.1.2 where I jailbroke it. Is there any way I could upgrade my jailbroken iPod from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3. I tried the method where you change the hosts file, but nothing. I would appreciate any help

You can [Shift] Restore in iTunes. Download the firmware you want (3.1.3) and choose that file. Google 'Download iPod firmware' and the repository is the first return.

I'm not sure that this works. It's true that is the simplest way that's why I haven't tried it yet, but I don't think it will do the trick

That will work. If it doesn't the first time, try it again from DFU mode.

If you are Are 3.1.2 stay there
There is absolutely no need to upgrade to 3.1.3, there is nothing new at all on 3.1.3 other than patching exploits

You should simply fake the firmware.
