Ok, cutting a long story short here, I'm currently on my 3rd 16gb 2g touch. The first 2 where sent back to apple due to restarting problems, the last one got to a stage where I couldnt do a restore with it, just kept coming up with errors. Anyway, all my problems previously started once I upgraded to OS 3.0 and above. I have not jailbroken my ipods at all. I'm just unsure if the problems I've had a related to OS 3 or any of my applications? It seemed to restart randomly before so I can narrow it down to any particular application.

Anyway the current ipod has been running perfect and I dont want to send yet another one back to apple. So is it worth the upgrade or not?

Well, to answer your last question: It surely is.

I don't think the 3.0 OS is the reason that your ipod's restarting all time. My suggestion is to reinstall your iTunes first, reset your ipod and then install the 3.0 OS on a complete clean ipod (So no apps

If then it doesn't work then i would demand my money back from apple .

Yes, it is worth an upgrade. It works flawless for me, and you get a lot of extra features. Also you can be happy that you are on the latest OS and it is supported.

If you have a 2g then yes it is worth the upgrade, if you don't then the only reason is for apps
