Upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, Question

    K i jailbroke my iPod by downgrading to 1.1.1 then jailbraking, is there a way to update to 1.1.2, without losing settings, apps or anything?


    or would i have to restore?

    You can upgrade (not deleting you music or stuff), but the very act of upgrading wipes out your pre-jailbreak stuff.

    Man, following most of the direct step by step-ers that are available out there, you shouldnt lose your settings, and thanks to itunes even if you lose your music, videos and pictures, those will be automatically restored. As for your apps, I'm not sure. I think they'd probably be erased and have to be reinstalled. if you're especially worried about it, I'd just back up your settings files using winSCP or total commander and then just plant them back in after reinstalling your apps.
    This might sound redundant, but I'm not being patronizing either: just make sure you install oktoprep and everything should be fine
