iOS 3.1 Updating my iTouch 2.2.1 to 3.2.1 without breaking the jailbreak?

    Hello All

    First time member

    So I hope you can help me

    Ok i have ipod touch 8gb 2nd gen and I jailbroke it but now I want to update it to the latest one but the jailbreak will be removed is there away to keep the jailbreak and get the update?

    and one more thing

    I found apps on ******* sites I added them to itunes and sync to ipod but none of them get install i get some error 0000000 something like that do you know how to fix this?

    There is no way to keep the iPod Jailbreak, see the update Erases the iTouch, and installs the latest firmware then puts everything back on the iPod.

    If you update the iPod it will remove the Jailbreak software.

    yeah. but you need to re-jailbreak after you update.

    But you have to get aptbackup so you can backup your cydia packages.

    Cydia packages are everything that you install that you can't get when you have a non-jailbroken iPod. And no, you can't update without losing the jailbreak, however, you can jailbreak again after you updated.

    i have had very bad experiences with aptbackup
    i wouldnt recommend using it

    also, trying to install apps from ******* websites will likely cause your ipod to burst into flames so you shouldn't do that either
