updating jailbroke apps

    Sorry if this has been asked before, but for the life of me I can't figure out a different want to ask/search for this question.

    Okay I've jailbroke my ipod touch 2gen (iOS4), downloaded some apps, and then installed them on my ipod touch. Is it recommended or possible to update the apps through the "Update All" through the ipod's "App Store"

    I'm thinking that if I do try to update them, I'll get charged by Apple as Apple has no record of me buying these apps in the first place.
