Updating Ipod

    Will i need to completly restart my ipod if i want to update it to its newest version.
    I think i jailbreaked it at 1.14.

    Yes. If you update it to the current 2.1 you will lose everything. But you can download diskaid and save a backup. Jailbreaking 2.1 is simple using quickpwn so would be quick to backup, update, then jailbreak.

    A backup wouldn't really do a lot I don't think.
    Since the filesystems are most likely different.
    Not 100 percent sure on that.

    oh, by backup I was speaking of his movies, songs, and books. Email contacts, maps and apps will be lost.
