So im trying to get my iPod from 1.1.5 jail broken to 2.0 and when i hold Shift and press the Update or Restore button in iTunes, the window to browse through my updates don't work. Is there anyway around this, or am I doing something wrong. Its very frustrating, can someone please help me?

It's against the rules to help with piracy. Please don't take this any further.

    Jailbreaking is perfectly legal.

    Piracy is not.

It won't work because you need to purchase the Firmware 2.0 update for $9.95 through iTunes.

Hi I have purchased a new iPOD touch, 16GB. It shows firmware 1.1.4. When I connected it through itunes 8.0 it asked me to update to 2.1. I did purchase the update. But for last 3 days i am trying to download. It shows download bar for 3 hours & at the end gives error stating session timed out, 0kb downloaded. Some one can suggest solution how to update to 2.1. I am using broadband connection.
