Ok, so I was using wifi to directly update a couple of apps, via the app store on my iTouch. Probably due to the patchy nature of the wifi where I'm currently located, both the apps never updated.

The apps are greyed out, and now stuck with the name legend under the individual app icon saying "waiting", and the progress bar blank accross the icon.

I've since managed to get the updates over my laptop, and itunes has synced the apps over to my iTouch. But the problem is the two original stuck updating apps remain, as well as the 2 working apps.

Tap and holding the stuck apps till they jiggle won't allow me to delete them, so how do I get rid of them?

Just sync, it should either install the app or remove it.
