the best way is to download the deb file and manually install through cydia.

of course for this guide, i'm assuming you have internet access on your computer, otherwise you wouldn't be on iPtF :)

first, download the .deb file for the latest version of openssh (5.2p1-8) directly from saurik's repo into your computer, from here:

    http://apt.saurik.com/debs/openssh_5.2p1-8_iphoneos-arm.deb

then put the .deb file into /private/var/mobile using iphone browser or the likes of it, which only require a usb connection without openssh or wifi. you can get the latest version of iphone browser setup for windows here:

    http://iphonebrowser.googlecode.com/files/SetupiPhoneBrowser.1.91.exe

finally, open up your mobileterminal on your ipod (you have to have AT LEAST THAT) and type:

    Code:
    su root
    hit the return key.

    now type:

    Code:
    dpkg -i openssh_5.2p1-8_iphoneos-arm.deb
do the same with openssl from here:

    http://apt.saurik.com/debs/openssl_0.9.8k-9_iphoneos-arm.deb

    you're good to go!

if you don't have mobileterminal, go to a friends' house and use their wifi or go to your local macca's :)

    hope i helped!
