Hey, I was wondering how I update a theme of mine in Cydia, I am using the Bigboss repository. I would prefer to continue using Bigboss...

    If you need an example:

So how do I update my theme in Cydia?

    Thanks in advanced.

Send them a email asking to update it.

That's it? I am guessing that I need to attach the updated theme with it, don't I?

    Three other questions while here:

    1) How did you figure this out, give a link if possible

    2) What if the theme is over 10mb? (10 MB is the maximum e-mail will let you send)

    3) When you update a theme in Cydia, does it remove the old version or overwrite it?

For 2), maybe just split it into a couple of parts...like the icons folder and the bundles folder, then the rest. And do you compress it?

Yeah. It's not that it's going be 10 MB, but I was having a "what if..." moment.

Like an APT repository it just updates the old version.

So basically when you email them the package they will update the version on the old package and put up the new files. You theme is still called 'Your Theme,' it just is a newer version. It won't be bumped up on people's recent changes (unless they have it enabled/disabled specifically), it will just push the updates.

And I'm like 95% this is correct. (the only thing I'm not sure on is about moving your theme back to the recent changes page. I know there's a settings to enable/disable that for a specific package, but I don't know what it is by default. If I find out I'll let you know)

So if I have a folder/file deleted in an update, the same folder from the un-updated version will still be there even if it isn't in the new version?

Nope. The package has only the new files.
