I have an untethered ip2g. When i run out of battery and I connect it to a power source (dock, computer) it won't boot unless i connect it to the computer, put it in dfu mode, and then take it out of dfu mode. It then boots normally. How do i make it boot normally when I run out of battery? This has happened twice.

You charge it. Obviously in the process of DFUing you let it collect enough charge to boot. You probly didn't even go into DFU at all.

If it isn't physically not turning on then you can try starting the dfu process then about 6 seconds of holding the power and home buttons let go and you should see the connected to power screen

Yeah I'm pretty sure I know whether I'm in DFU mode or not. Seeing as it pops in itunes in dfu mode. So what I'm trying to say is even though I'm charging it, it won't turn on until I put it in DFU mode and then out while connected to my computer.

Try charging it for longer.. Mine never runs out of battery so I can't really help you much.

hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds (or more, if you count too fast)
