I had a untethered jailbroken ipod and then i used the NOR-only restore and it was untethered, i rebooted many times without the computer to test it out and sure enough it was untethered. But now i must have installed something through cydia that makes it reboot and stay at the apple boot logo forever. I can't boot it up at all. I really don't want to restore it, is there any way that i can fix this?

    Try this...

    Code:

    irecovery -s
    setenv auto-boot true
    saveenv

    Try this

    irecovery -s
    setenv auto-boot true
    saveenv

Again, seeing as you can now get commands to go through (you tried the tethered boot?)

yes i have already tried the tethered boot
    it starts to boot
    logo shows up and everything
but just gets stuck on boot logo
i've given it 10 mins no change

when i type in ur commands it just says no ipod or iphone was found however when i type in
    iRecovery -f iBSS211.dfu

it gives me a white screen and then the rest of the tethered boot proccess

Can you tell us what program you installed? I'm having suspicions that the rogue program is LogoMe.

EDIT: NVM, reread the post, disregard please. =D

the problem is that i fear that something i installed from cydia might be making this happen (its not logome i am 100% sure of it) but if so how do i prevent that program from making my touch not boot?

oh new piece of information: when i leave the ipod alone for more than 10 min it just goes white screen really fast and then attempts to reboot again

Try restoring the NOR-only firmware again.
