I bought a new 2G iPod Touch about two/three weeks ago.

Maybe i didn't notice it at the time but the bottom corners (black parts either side of "Home" button appear to be loose.

The top corners do not give when pressed in.
However my bottom ones (especially the left) move in a bit when pushed.

Is this the same on each iPod or is mine broken.

(*** also there is a small patch of light visible on the bottom left side of the black when starting up from apple logo)

I have hardly used it, as i'm waiting for a RebelTouch. And it has not been dropped, knocked, etc.etc.

    Welcome to iPod touch Fans!

My 1st-gen iPod touch pushes in a little at the bottom of the iPod, but I don't think that this is a big deal. It's most likely because of how the hardware inside of the iPod is layed out.

And as for the small patch of light, it could be a few dead pixels. If this is the case, you might be able to get a 2nd-gen iPod touch replacement under your 1 year warranty.

its just that now it's there i keep noticing it.

no this light is at the edge alongside the metal. I'm guessing that i'm able to see a bit of the backlighters or something like that.

This was one of the major design flaws the 2G had, but they fixed it and you should be able to get it replaced.
