Okay. My friend asked me to help him fix his iPod. He said he was trying to put in a custom boot logo and somehow "bricked it". It is impossible to start. I've held the power button, the power + home buttons together, held the home button and plugged it in, and it wasn't even showing up as a device in my computer. I tried DFU but it seems unresponsive. Please help.

I thought I fixed it, but when I was restoring, iTunes wouldn't restore it. It would bring back errors. I'm trying again through the Shift+Restore method, but it's still stuck at Verifying iPod restore with apple.

Disable your Firewall and it should do the trick.

But how did you manage to bring your ipod back to life ? Cause if I undersand what you said, DFU mode was previously unresponsive...

I DFU'd by holding the Power button for 5 seconds, then holding Power + Home for 10 seconds, then Home until you here the ding in Windows. Then, I used HitBoot and iRecovery and somehow, it went to a white screen.
