OK. earlier today i plugged in my Ipod touch 2g to do a usual backup and it worked fine. Now i go to plug it in and it says "an Iphone has been detected, but it could not be properly identified. Please disconnect the Iphone and try again."

I do this multiple times with all my usb ports, did a soft reset on my Ipod and used a diff cable. any ideas on what to do?
